Default new exhaust quieter?

first off i used to have 1 of the older flowmaster mufflers with 1-in-2-out to turndowns. it sounded alright but i wanted something louder and more aggressive. so i went with true duals to an x-pipe to 2 magnaflow bullets to turndowns after the rear axle. and its soooooo quiet at idle i cant believe it. almost like stock.

could this be because there are too many bends in the pipes after the mufflers? or because of the x-pipe? or what idk i was kind of pissed when i picked it up

I don't know how the Magnaflow bullets are designed, but if I was going for loud I would have gone with some dynomax bullets.

I have 1 single chamber Flowmaster and at idle it has a low rumble but when I punch the gas it is really loud.

Its the x-pipe. It smoothes the exhaust pulses between the left and right banks causing a more muffled sound. I could be wrong though.

I think that Stroker Ace is on the right track. What he said about the X-Pipe is true, but I'd also like to add that a Magnaflow muffler is NOT loud. I've owned Magnaflow mufflers and the reason I don't own one now is....they are just too quit for my taste.

Try you a SLP Loudmouth muffler if you want loud! It's a soundy lil' sumbitch!
