Last night my friend (owns a muffler/brake/repair shop) put my flowmaster on. Just to see how it sounded we didnt put a turn down or dump on it. I'm thinking running about 8~10 inchs of pipe before dumping it to help quiten it down. might get used to it though. btw he cut the flange at the Y pipe and ran 3in all the way . I think this should flow pretty well later on. it seems to h ave a little more power too it in the sotp area. but it seemed weird because the exhaust was loud enough to make me think i was either haulin *** or runnin high rpms, when i was at like 1600 or so.

Only problen with cuting the Y pipe flange out is now your exhaust will have to be cut to do any tranny work. I need to install two flanges on my dual setup to drop my tranny and put in a T/Q. DUHHH. I didn't even think about it when I did my dual setup.

speaking of echo chambers, I cut out my muffler, cut a 26" piece of 3" pipe and welded it in. Then took a 30" piece of 4" bus exhaust and made a tip. I've had many guys ask me what brand of muffler is on the truck.
