Good numbers
Know you need to throw some more boost at it
that surely Can't be all that blower can muster ?
What are your Charge temps after that blower ?
you should maybe consider some alchol/water injection to get the tmeps down
I'm postive you can get way more out of that motor with it being built, should be able to push it to 12psi with no sweat
Glad to see you back on the road again

Yeah Whitt, I am planning on coming to Memphis this week. I hope the track is hooking-I had marginal traction the last time out so with the newfound torque it might be a little tricky.

GMC SKI-I have it on my to-do list to move the intake air sensor where I can monitor the post blower temps. I am gonna up the boost just to see if she will pick up. I really think it should make more power.

Wow, did you ever get it dynoed without the SC? Looking for some stock numbers. Did you do the engine install yourself or take it somewhere else?
Lastly and almost more important, how in the hell do you get all of that to the ground??

Thanks,
Andrew

No, I didn't ever dyno it without the blower-put it on when the truck only had 1400 miles. It made a whopping 278 horses at the wheels stock with the Whipple. Lots of tuning and patience were required to make it right. I built and installed this 6.0 myself. I almost decided on a stroker but I knew traction would be a prob anyways and I knew the tranny wouldn't like it either! So far on the street I have found that it impossible to hook anywhere in 1st gear. It will get sideways from a 35mph punch. I am going to get another pair of matching wheels and drive around most of the time on some ET Streets.

does that blower make that much tq or is that a tq spike on the dyno? since you said it made 430 rwtq stock, did that mean stock with the blower?

Yes it makes that much torque-look at the graph. When I said it made 430 stock I meant the 6 liter motor was stock internally and externally (no headers, stock heads, cam, etc) Bone stock 2001 6 liter with the blower and whatever boltons it had at the time (e fans and such) The best the original stock 5.3 ever did was like 337/378, if I remember right.
