Long Tube's are not CARB approved. You can not move the Catalytic converters from the factory location. You also can not delete them either. If they look like they have been replaced, they will look for the number on the Catalytic convert to make sure its 50 State legal.

Now that being said, They have no Idea if the EGR is functional or not as they do not test it. I had mine turned off along with the Air injection. I got tired of replacing the Air injection valves at $50 a pop. That system only works on start up and the EGR rarely turned on due to the speed limits and my Driving habits any way... Both Items were virtually useless.

His vehicle was built with it and if its not there you will fail the visual. It's already been recorded in the system as having them. If another station says they are not there, Inspectors will show up at the station to find out what happened. Then they will Flag his truck in the system and could possibly bring him in for another inspection or suspend his registration.

The 8.1 and the flex fuel injectors have higher flow rates. But The flex fuel ones have a different connector. I believe it is an EV6 Vs. the Mini Delphi connector on the regular trucks. If you need them, Get them. A tuner can change the flow data and tune accordingly.
Yeah I was looking at the motors last night and did see what you were talking about the return less lines, the older one has two on the fuel rail and the other has one, only reason I wanted to change it out and use the newer ones was because mine already have 210,000 miles on them. Would I have to change the gas pump on it or just cancel one line? I have a friend that has a 2006 Silverado ss complete fuel tank he told me to go pick it up. One other question what the best way to clean out the intake? Thanks for all the help

Damned left coast... being from VA, if you live in any of the countys and cities that dont have to go through emissions, so long as we have the proper equipment on the vehicle (i.e. Cats and pcv valve) we are good, if inspector wants to be an ***, he could fail it for egr missing but at that point it becomes a pissing match, especially if engine vin doesnt call for it...... Forgot CA were so much more ridiculously strict than va...

Your not gaining anything by switching the Fuel system, so its not really worth the hassle. Now If you were using a TBSS intake you wouldn't have a choice. If you want to change the injectors, then go for it. You may need an O-ring kit as the O-rings are usually brittle when you remove them, especially if they have been sitting. Not sure on the intake. I have always had access to a parts washer.

Ridiculous is an understatement. A cold air intake doesn't affect the emissions readings hardly at all. But If it's not Carb Approved It's Illegal. We can Especially Thank the Honda Type Tuner Jack asses for that...

Due to the Cost of getting anything approved, It nearly doubles if not Triples the cost they need to sale the part's for to be profitable.

That rong shouldnt be that close to the tailshaft... May take a wedge of some sort to pop it out, its a slip yoke, but over time crap builds up in the back end of it and im sure thats whats holding you up... Try getting the u joint off there should be a hole in the center of the yoke, spray some pb blaster or wd 40 in it and see that if it breaks loose then!!
