I'm going to get my 2004 buick rainier tuned with the hp-tuner sofeware tomorrow! I got custom exh. a custom cold air intake and the trans freshly rebuilt with a trans-go shift kit! Any thoughts on shift points, skip-shifts, T.M.? i WANT TO DO THIS TUNE ONE TIME AND TRY TO BE HAPPY WITH IT SO I DON'T HAVE TO KEEP MESSING WITH IT! Any sugestions would be helpful, you guys have messed with this before so i'm asking you. Thank-you for your help!

 

It doesn't sound like you have very many mods, so it should be an easy tune. I haven't used HP tuners, so I cant give you any specifics. You doing this yourself?

yes, your 04 has this, all the 99-2005 have this, their is engine TQ management and tranny TQ management. I bleive you will want to delete alot of it if not all of it. You can tell when you punch it when the engine feels really slow down low or shifts at wot it's becasue the engine starts pulling timing to keep everything from breaking.
