Anyone know if the stock C5 cam will produce any gains in our trucks? I know the Z06 cam will, just wondering about the C5. Also, what are the specs on it? Thanks in advance for your help.

what i noticed in my truck with a 2000 vette cam is i lost some bottom end. however, at 4000 rpm it pulls a hell of a lot harder. i am not using the full potential of this cam yet either. my programmer has the rev limit set to 6000 and it wants to pull a good bit past that. also, i dont' have headers. all in all, for a good cheap cam, this is it. i would do it again. it cost 40 bucks to buy the stuff needed to install it. such as the water pump gaskets, crank bolt and front seal, and gasket.

what goshawk23 said you lose some bottom end just like the zo6 cam a few pound feet of torque are lost but with that i am guessing about 25+ rwhp would be gained i know on the zo6 you gain about 35+ most of the time from personal knowledge and everything i have read hope this helps

i installed 4.10 gears as well and got my bottom back. basically after the cam and no good tuning i went from 2.3 60's to 2.4 60's. then with the gears i went back to 2.3 and 2.2's. we'll see what it does with a better tune, converter and hopefully some headers soon.

I have a Nelson, so free retunes if I get one. My 60s are in the 2.4s but I usually have crappy traction off the line. Maybe the C5 cam will actually help me get better traction on my launches?
