Need Advice, Dealing With LT's and o2' Sensors
#1
Heres my story, sorry if it's a long. I really need your guys opinion.
I have an 03 Silverado. I put Pacesetter LT's on a while back. Have a tune, rear cats deleted. Truck ran awesome for about three months. Suddenly, I had code P0300 and truck misfired terribly. Long story short, I replaced my front o2's with my old rear o2's and truck ran perfect. Passenger side o2 was apparently bad. Jump forward about 3 months, to yesterday, and my truck had same code, same characteristics. I replaced passenger o2, truck runs perfect. Each time the passenger o2 was bad, and it was really black, had some buildup on it, looked fouled out.
I know from reading on this board that some guys have used vette rear o2's to fix a heat problem on the o2. I want to think this is my problem, but nobody has posted that the problem was a random multiple misfire. I'm sure in a couple months my passenger o2 will go out again, do you think the vette o2 will fix this? Please give me your input I really want to figure this out. Thanks in advance.

was it a mail order tune? might wanna see if you can get a log and see just how rish you maybe running. with those mods i cant see you burning up o2 sensors every 3 months , have you pulled a plug just see what it looks like, what oil you running

I had the same issue on my 04 sierra. If it was the tune being rich, you would burn up both front 02s not just one side. I dont think you can tune one bank to run richer than the other.... I had the same issue, and my pass side fuel trims were at -25, soon as he reset the fuel trims you could hear the idle change instantly...I thought about moving the bung closer to the head, did not know about the vette sensor fix. I sold the truck before I had time to mess with it.

What is different bout Vette o2S? Does anyone have a P/N? My rt bank rear o2 goes out bout as quickly as yours. I might try the Vette route is if cheap enuff. For now, I just left dead O2 in there. Or I'll need to tune out the rears.
