Randy,
You wouldn't think that your 216/220 cam would be enough to get you down the track that quick... I wonder what would happen if you stuck a TR224 sized cam in or larger. Does your current setup feel weak at higher RPMs? Curious is all.

Just curious of what I might achieve with heads, cam, injectors, tuning...etc...non-stroker.

I did a H&C PKG. for a buddie,02 Yukon Denali.ET heads, comp 220/560 114LC,yank 2600,AZ speeds,transgo-vette,UPD and LS1 edit, custom dual out catback w/flowpro .It screams and it has been flawless for over 25K miles. When he drives it easy his mileage is better than stock. If I was to guess based on testing against other vehicals his would run about 14.2 ET.He weights in at 5800Lbs

Here's a pic from the other night in my shop of cocktails and mobile 1,My buddy is making bank and you would know it based on his collection of cars.

There was a VHO guy with close to the same mods as I have other than Longtube headers, Caltracs, 100 shot of nasty, and slicks running 12.5,s all night long at our last HRP event on Nov. 20th.
Thought that was pretty amazing.

You definately need to get back to the track for a better run Jethro.
Dave68RT at this site was at our last HRP GTG and was running a 14.8-14.7 all night long. His truck only had a CAI kit. No tune and no exhaust and on the factory 20's.
My truck has turned out a 14.2 with tune, CAI, & exhaust with also the factory 20's spinning at the line.
I'm guessing your tune is holding you back a bit. Are you turning off your TC button? Or does yours have it?

Your 14.2 is impressive for the few mods and 20s,stack that against a QC hemi with the same mods as you and what would happen?,beat him by a second?Looking at the MPH tells the HP story

With a TR 224 & Thorley headers I've got 338 RWHP & 344 RWTQ. I only made one run before the track closed, managed a 14.1 @ 98. A little live tuning and I think it could maybe break into the way high 13's. But with the stall I am hoping for close to mid 13's.

I think you might be right, I had just put on BFG KDW 285/60/18's and they sucked. I have Nitto 305/55's now.

Seems your 98MPH should be closer to mid-low 13s if you were coming out of the hole good.

Allen Nelson has a LQ9 6.0L cam & head combo that we kind of went over one day while he was doing some tuning at Nickens Brothers Racing.
He told me that the guys at Nickens and himself have come up with a cam/ head combination that has good idle, grunt from idle to about 6500 rpm's.
The combo seems to be making 500HP/ 500+ ft lbs of torque. He said there is no need to change out injectors. (I myself thought it was odd). He said just the fuel pump and regulator needs to be changed.
Of course his tune is included as well.
Just thought I might throw this out there.
I'm still thinking about letting him do it.
