Thanks for the feedback! For a novice with these trucks, it is confidence building to hear strong support for sponsor/vendors cited within the forum. I'm particularly interested in the upward flexibility with re-tune capability. Being a long-time carb-to-EFI motorcycle tuner... and piggyback tuning through wide and narrow band (for closed loop) on my supra for many years... I'm also interested in this EFI-Live that I am hearing about. I like to fiddle myself... heh heh heh... once I understand these motor/management systems a little... perhaps I'll be able to dive into some more sophisticated real-time feedback tuning?
...we shall have to see...
PS: I'm also inclined to look into long tube headers from what I've read so far... what about the rest of the exhaust back?

im the same way about fiddling with stuff....im going to purchase efi live after i get some extra cash....justin at blackbear is a dealer and teaches a class on it so im sure he can help u get started with it, as far as exhaust goes, look at the lpp longtubes and off road y pipe then a good muffler will be suffecient enough.

Very clean install. It's amazing how much additional room it creates.
Yes, not hard to do. You basically remotely ground the PCM pins. I can provide a schematic if needed.

I love the fans too. I have a 2000, so I can't take advantage of the AC pressure option, but I still used the two pin setup to activate the fans when the two temp thresholds are met.
I bought a sponsor harness, but it didn't come with fuse holders so I added my own. (I wouldn't run those bad boys without fuses. They draw lots of current.)
I just ziptied my relays to the battery cable to make it easier to remove the fusebox cover.

I'm in the middle of putting LS1 fans in my 2000 Silverado. I'll have to check but I think I have the one pin AC harness. It taps the AC line (green) going up past the intake manifold.
So are you saying that this will not work on my truck?
It's a Nelson harness. It had me insert into pin 42. I bought this years ago and am just now installing it. Was the 2 pin harness what I actually needed?

If my LS1 fans aren't enough, I'm going to go the factory route like in that link.
