no i need to change the block to a 6.0 but my crank and rods will fit in the 6.0 block. the biggest thing you can make out of a 5.3 i believe is a 395 or something like that.

Yea you just need .030 over pistons, 6.125 rods, and 4.00 stroke. If you use stock size pistons, you will be running a 402. So not that big of a difference for $800 pistons.

so when im tired of my 383 ill buy some pistons and a new block and transfer everything over

well i got my block back from the machine shop today and it looks great. only one small problem. the rings that i got with my rotating assembly are too big. so i had to order a set from Summit Racing and i should have them Friday. Hopefully i can get them gaped and start assembly on Saturday.

rings are gaped and the block got painted cleared and crank and cam are installed. tomorrow the pistons are going in along with the LS7 lifters and i want to install both my heads but with 3 kids we shall see how much actually gets done.

pissed off that i bought a set of injectors from a forum member who told me they would fit my LSXRT and they are not even close to fitting. oh and to top it off he wont give me a refund.
