I really appreciate all the useful info. Is that cam a custom grind or something off the shelf? I want it a little choppy like you said but nothing crazy. I haven't done much reasearch on actually how a cam works. The LSA you listed is 110+4, 4 is the amount of advance that is degreed into the cam? Also, does anyone have some dyno numbers with this cam or any 1/4 times? 212/218 .558/.563 110+4...

I'm running a TSP 220/220 .581/.581 at 111 LSA, and woke up the 5.3L real good.
What I noticed with this LSA is that my midrange is very strong. I have the stock stall and the RPM drop between shifts is not that significant. It pulls strong and it isnt crazy choppy.
I recommend this costum grind cam.

I run the comp xr265 high lift I love it, but I'm pretty sure I should run a 3k to a 3200 stall. I would go with what blackgmc offered, it should make good low end and pull good throughout the rpm range.

With this cam I will also need 918's right?? Would I need new pushrods? If so, what size? I'm just looking for a cam that will meet my goals. 13sec qtr. and a good DD.

Hey BlackGMC, just wonderin' where you have your cams ground at? I was thinkin' about getting ahold of Crower to grind me up one... maybe you or someone else can throw some light at me if there's a better price-for-the-product vendor. Much obliged.
