I'd like to believe we could figure out how to add mileage. With the old odometers it was mechanical and you could hook a drill up to it and spin her up. Well, with these new ones, it's all electronic so I imagine it's a fairly simple solid state circuit that simply counts the miles via the voltage that's received. I'll have to look in my Helms manual to see if I can find the pinout, if I'm thinking along the right lines, I could get a variable DC power supply and wire it into the corresponding pins and dial up the voltage and hopefully it'll spin up the speedometer and needle and add up the miles.

As for removing/resetting mileage, it may be a function of an EPROM circuit which requires that super secret program.

Just trying to help...

Guess Im not gonna get my cluster updated. I just ordered a little Odometer replacement sticker from GM. Gonna write the mileage from my old cluster on it and put the sticker on my door jamb. Dont know what else to do.

Now, who wants to give me their GM employee number for me to put on this sticker??

j/k guys
