As I'm getting the STS setup, I just ordered their Meth Inj. Seemed easier.

As far as power, Xtreme tested their truck at around 30hp increase with the Methanol using windshield washer fluid (30% Meth).

Anyone else tested their power gains?

Problem with doing that is that the tune to run water would need to be much more conservative than the one with alky. Also the Alky affects A/F ratio. Alky and meth are cheap enough where it really isnt an expense. You can get large amounts from a place called hyperfuels or something like that. I just buy the cans of alky from Home Depot. $10 worth of alky lasts 3+ weeks.

01_5.3_RCSB got like 50 rwhp from his meth setup! Thats on an intercooled Paxton (same as Vortech). I havent gotten any tuning done, but I have been able to run 5-6 more # of boost with the same timing with the addition of alky. Im sure there is more left when I turn up the timing a bit.

Straight denatured alky. Mixing it made less power. Meth seems to make the most power though.

The cool thing about the snow performance kit is that for $399.99 you get the varible controler or the plain kit for $299.99. I think this is which kit I'm going with.

The point of meth inj isn't really running more timing but in running higher boost at the same timing.

Meth gives you octane + cooling, water gives you better cooling.

Running water is safer in terms of fire hazard, but I don't use the meth much on the street anyway (and leave the tank relatively empty).

ok, i have mine running very good now at 8lbs boost and no alcohol. i get 0 kr. if i were to put the 10lb pulley on, are you saying i can leave the tune exactly the same but just turn on the alcohol? i'll give it a shot. at what boost should i have it turn on? also, without a wideband, it's impossible to keep the a/f in check because the more you turn up the alcohol to decrease the kr, the more out of whack the a/f gets. almost not worth the effort.
