Good info Parish I did some testing on 4.3l truck with meth last week. Its a Vortech supercharged heads and cam 4.3l. Non-intercooled. Before the water meth the IAT's would come up on 200 degrees@10psi. It was hard to get timing to say the least on pump gas and 9.4:1 compression. With pure meth we had to dial quite a bit of fuel out of it. First run went from the usuall 11.8:1 AFR to a very rich 9.8:1 in the lower RPM and about 10.9:1 up top. We got the AFR straightend out after a few runs. The IAT's would start at 145 or so cruisin and then once the boost came on and the meth went on full it took about 2-3 seconds and we were in the 80 degree range. Yesss, we can finally put timing in it. Big improvment to say the least. BTW the outside air temp was about 65 degrees. Not bad to be 15 above ambient w/o a intercooler.

Just my experience with it to combine with Parish's good info.

Wow, thats incredible. Ive never seen that on any vehicle. As I said all the tests Ive seen have never shown more than a 30-40* drop max from adding a ton of meth. Never anywhere near the kind of drop you would see from an intercooler.

i have an alkey control kit. it is progresive. it is a 15 jet, i think that is .015?

i dont plan on shuting off the meth when i run the race fuel. just leave it on. dont know if it will help but i dont see how it could hurt.

i have an air to water intercooler, it works prety good but once i turn up the boost i quickly get out of the efficency range on my turbo and the heat goes up fast.
