Magnacharger has just released a kit with a larger intercooled supercharger. The kit also comes a uprated intake manifold, fuelinjectors, and fuel pump upgrade.Computer programming is also included.I`m gettin ready to have one installed on my Tahoe next week.

i have a whipple, i have to admit that new magna set up looks nice. on a stock or near stock engine that magna just about has to be a better set up since it has an intercooler.

i am prety sure the magna is a smaller compresor so if you plan on doing some major mods like a heads and cam 6.0 it may not be big enuff to feed it. if you ever plan on going all out crazy like a built 7.0 i dont think either blower would feed that

I think you ought to just build a nice motor...Mix has the perfect setup...We are about to start offering motor swap kits after we get everything lined out in his truck....But i think this weekend it made a good showing for not really being tuned or anything...

The intercooled magnacharger uses the same supercharger as the Ford Lightning.

Magnacharger is an m112cfm S/C @6lbs , and the Lightnings is an m120cfm S/C @8lbs. The Ls blower is still larger and puts out more boost.

i could be wrong here but i think the 112 refers to how much air it can move per revolution. 112ci(cubic inches)

the whipple is a 2.3L wich converts to about 138ci

so you can see here that the whipple moves more air pre revolution. assuming they both have the same max rpm(not sure if that is true) the whipple will pump alot more air at max rpm. i can give you a real example of when the whipple runs out of capasity and i think you can figure the magna will run out sooner, quite abit sooner.

with my set up i have a 2.5" top pully and a 6.25" bottom pully and spin the motor to 6000rpm, that puts the blower at 15000rpm. whipples max sugested rpm is 15000rpm. this gives me 12psi of boost, i haven't been able to use 12psi yet but it is nice to know i have a little room to grow if i decide to push it harder. i am making alot of assumptions here so i will just make one more, looks to me like the magna would probably be prety much maxed out on my current 9psi set up.

with the intercooler i think the magna would be a better deal right up to 9psi on a 6.0, thats enuff power for most people but if you plan on more cubes than that or heads and cam set up the magna may be running out of breath and the whipple would carry you farther.

i see a heads and cam 409ci in my future and i think the whipple will probably be able to put 4-7psi into that motor, at that boost level an intercooler isn't so important. the magna wouldn't have a chance with that motor, might get 1-2psi at max rpm.

disclamer.. the preceding was just my $.02, anyone have any better info lets hear it.

The Gen.IV M112 Eaton supercharger is used on both the Lightning and Cobra at 8psi boost. The Radix is the Gen.V version with a larger diameter pulley installed.
