LT1 Fans are finally on.

Well, I started Sat. at 2:00pm and Sunday around 5:00pm I finished it. I had little auto electrical knowledge before this project. The whole install took about 9 working hours for me to do it. To my suprise, the clutch fan came off in about 5 min. I blew like 6 fuses in the process, the inline fuses are great. For those who have installed these fans, in front of the truck, looking down at the fans the power wire hooked up on the left and the ground was on the right. I had it hooked up the opposite way at first. The engine started getting hot and when I fliped the toggles, the engine would get hotter. I knew something was wrong, plus they were very loud for fans. Switched the wires around and the problem was solved and the noise was a lot less. Throttle response is great, and the engine stays at the same temp as it did before.
Overall, very nice mod and worth it so far. Once the headers get on, dyno and track times will follow. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Oh, and THANK YOU!!! Richard (BigTex), for the instructions. Without them I would still be working on it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

That sonds great. I had mine wired the same way at first also. Sorry I didn't get any pics to you before you started. I have a lot of pics to put up and can't find enough the time to do all of it.
I would have done it today, but have been in Seguine all day at the Supra National event. BTW a Corvette won hahahaha.

Let me know when you get the pics up. I want to see how you set up your wiring and where you mounted the relays. I zipped stripped everything together, but I might redo the wiring to hide them a little better. Also, did you use one toggle or two? I used two and its cool to be able to only run one to save on the voltage draw. Did you ground your toggle? I didn't on mine. Just wondering if it has to be done. The relays are grounded so I didn't think It would matter.
