Default Lt1 e fans Mounting need some ideas

How did you guys mount your LS1 / LT1 fans? The reason I ask is because if you unbolt them from the mounting bracket the place where you would put the universal ties to mount to the radiator sits behind the fan blade about a half inch.Do you shim it some how or make a custom bracket to mount the whole dual fan assembly in? Any help would be great. The whole reason I am doing it is because I have a spare set of fans off my car. If not I guess I will have to buy aftermarket fans. Thanks

Some guys use pull through zips and some fabricat brackets out of odd and ends they find around the house. I used a set of "L" brackets that were 2"x 2" wide and drilled holes in the top of the fan mount and used the holes that are hidden behind the stock fan shroud. You should be able to drop them in with the plug side up. Sorry, I don't have any pics that I can get to from work. Had mine for about 2 years now and they are plenty. I run one all the time and turn the other on when I want. And now they are cooling a 34" 6.0 radiator.

If you can get a hold of him, HYDE had a real clean way of mounting his. I wished I had bought them from him because there wasn't any crappy looking brackets or other such unsightly things of that nature.

I got some pictures of mine in my sig.

I used the bolts and holes at the top of the fan shroud and the holes that hold in the wires at the bottom of the radiator. Bought some aluminum L stock and cut them to length. Then I just zip-tied the fans to the brackets. The botton of the fans sit perfectly in the bottom like the fan shroud does.

Thermo switch!

I bought the flex-a-lite VSC and emailed them to see if I should wire the fans in series or parallel. They said parallel and that the one I bought (25amps) might not be enough, so they sent me their upgraded one. I think it is the one that comes with the 292 kit.

The manual on switch is for the track.

A little off the topic, but didn't want to start another e-fan thread. Would something like a single flex-a-lite fan work instead of a dual setup.
