Go with 918's they are probably a better spring for the cam your gonna run. I'm just saying that LS6 springs are fine in some applications.

Ithink thats the direction I'm headed, I was really looking forward to using the ls6 springs though since they were only $50. Thanks for the input though

Also, this will probly sound like a silly question but do shelf cams from comp cams have the standard GM base circle? meaning that I could use 7.400 pushrods?

Go with the "new" 918's. Listen to guys at Comp, they know what they are talking about! They helped me ton's! My 500 hp 04 GTO proves that! They did a custom grind for me and set up the valvetrain! I trust them 100%!!!

I think the question is what are YOU smoking. See quote below

Regardless of what they've been pushed to, they are only rated to .550 lift and your running 558/563. that alone should be reason enough for you to have never considered using them.

Remember LS6 valves are lighter requiring less spring. You shouls have at least 130/300 with a cam like that.

Why did he quote my topic then? If he wasn't talking to me, then I'm sorry for the mix up. But the link he posted is a link to my topic saying my ls6 springs weren't gonna work.
