Hi, i am a newbie I have a 2002 singlecab short bed with a 5.3 that is all stock. My dad gave me a ls6 crate motor he was gonna put in his vette but soon after he purchased it he was told about the main differences where heads and cam so he sold it to me for 500.00 which i think is basically giving a ls6 away. I know it will bolt up directly but, the thing is will the ecu just snap in or wil i have to mess with the harness. And also i dont want it to be a stock ls6 so i looking to pick up a proocharger or a magnacharger, and i need a crazy cam that is good with boost but can still thump. Thanx

 

The truck computer should run things with no issues, BUT for optimal power you may want to look into some custom tuning.
I do understand there are some harness issues with the LS6. Painless Wiring makes conversion kits but they are rumored to be very expensive.
$500 is a big steal, the heads alone are worth that!
