Whoa!!! 1/2 a second changing the intake? That's amazing And some more tweaking with the tune should net you some more gains? Hell yeah! Great job Billy
Seeing higher MAF readings and knock in the higher rev range is proof that the VE is way up. Now if we could only get one of the intake manufacturers to step up and make an easily interchangeable intake for these trucks. Lots of potential here.

Again, great job Kano.

What were the weather conditions for the before and after track times? Same track?

If you have dyno graph (SAE corrected) with the truck intake, a comparision from the same dyno with the ls6 would be great to show the actuall improvement in the torqure curve.

btw... your ls6 intake time is almost identical to the time I got wed night with my setup.

You say you logged? EFILive? I'm soon to do a FAST 90 on my truck. I'd be interested in your logged runs, if you wouldn't mind sending them to me. jrman8300@yahoo.com

Let me know. I'd appreciate it.

I think you need to look at what you are getting for the cost. IMO, it's pretty cheap to knock off almost a half second. Name something else that is cheaper that will get you the same - not counting N2O.

Kano - did you ever post your total investment in the other thread?

thanks Richard
I got a few more things I want to try that
should help
I was on limited time as far as tuning but the afr looked so good
I said what the hell ,Ill try it
Theres definitely some more left in it
nothing huge maybe a tenth or 2 with the timing , getting the
afr exactly perfect, and getting rid of this KR and BKR

same track
weather conditions were close to the same if I remember right

DA was around 500 yesterday
I think it was close to that on the 12-11 run
not sure though
Ill ask my buddy 67ss509 what it was back then

ben,
sorry bro I have HPT and I think I fried the laptop yesterday

total price?
I didnt really keep up with all I bought
heres some rough estimates
Intake 425
WP 125
misc metal 20
intake bolts 25
belt 25 (Mine was 100" btw)
pulley 10
inj seal kit 10
miscelaneous fuel lines, brass fittings, water pump pulley bolts
etc lets say another 20

660 to 700 tops if you do it all yourself

on the dyno
I had them save my truck graph so we can do an overlay
of the two
Just need to find the time to make a couple of pulls

i dont know if i understand you, but

i know i could certainly use it with my setup i have now,

but 700 to 800 bucks is expensive, as for half a second, hptuners can do that for 500, stall can do that for 475..

I think that is a huge gain for just a manifold swap. I think I am going to try the 78mm TB first. Then swap to the 90mmTB. I hope to have mine done this weekend, its supposed to be 70* here Sat.

Good job Billy. It took some figuring out, but it shows that its worth it in the end.

It looks like he paid a fair ammount for the intake too. I got my LS6 intake for 350 with injectors and rails, I've seen plenty go for 300 flat on LS1tech. Turns out I dont need rails or injectors now :O.
