ls6 heads on 5.3?

Default ls6 heads on 5.3?

will this work whats needed to do it? buddy has a 5.3 and imma sell him the heads and cam package off my trans am if it will work.

Is it the stock head and cam off your car? It will work, but there is very little to gain by it. He will loose a small amount of comp cuz the ls6 heads have 3cc bigger combustion camber, and they really don't flow much better then 5.3 heads. The cam really isn't much bigger then his stock cam either. It's a lot of work for a very small gain. Almost a push. If it's the SLP heads and Cam then it would be worth it.

What do they LS6 and the 4.8/5.3 heads flow?.... b/c i installed a set of LS2/LS6 head on my 4.8 I did mill mine .035"

I don't remember the exact numbers, but I know there's not a lot of difference, stock for stock. I think WCCH would have that info though.

Check that, might want to check with SLP, not sure that those valve will clear the cylinders, but that would be the only hang up.

yeah i asked them today they said it should work but will be aggressive but we like aggressive.
