LS1Edit Gurus, help with shifts!
I need some advice on where to set my shifts. I toyed with them a bit but I got confused. When the truck goes to shift does both RPM and MPH have to be met for the truck to shift? Or does just one of the criteria have to be met for a shift to be made. When I change the shift RPM do I need to increase or decrease the shift MPH slightly? Also will decreasing values in the Shift times table make shifts quicker??

Both rpm and mph have to be met to make it shift. Just make sure your mph is low enough that it doesn't interfere, then just set using rpm.
Yes, decreasing the values will make the shift happen quicker.

So set the MPH low. I think I got ya. Pretty much what your saying is after the MPH requirement is met the computer waits for the set RPM to shift? I have the Super Servos I got from KDS to put in, just havent yet. I decided to mess with Edit to see what I could do. Is there any other extensive tuning I can do for some extra HP.

Leave the stock MPH settings alone and just up the rpm you want to shift. No need to change it.
The performance section is activated by the tow/haul button. Leave the normal setting a little lighter than the performance tables. When you want to make it shift aggressively, just punch your tow/haul button. Be cure to change your shift rpms on the performance tables too.
Typically, in LS1 edit, if there are more than one option for the same setting, you only need to change one. Example, shift speed by temp or rpm. Just change rpm and leave the temp alone. Same thing for Power Enrichment (PE) for RPM or TEMP. Just adjust with the RPM table and leave the temp table in stock form. The PCM will adjust for the table you changed.

One word of caution. If you raise your stock shift points make sure you also raise the rev limiters a little above the shift points. The computer doesn't like it when the shift points are higher than the limiter.
