LS1 Swap questions

Ok sorry to beat a dead horse. I do not have much time on the net tonight, and my connection is sucking today.
Ok here we go, I bought a LS1 short block with flycut pistons about a year ago. My buddy went witha forged bottom end for a F/I setup and well, I was going to forge this one to do the same to my C5. I already had a ATI on it but I wanted the insurance to go with teh boost
. ANyway i traded that off about a year ago lol, and now have a short block without a home. I am buying a set of LS6 heads, with dual rev srpings, pushrods and a Z06 cam. That is the base of what I am up to here are my questions.
Since this is not going in the C5 I am putting it in my 99 ECSB Z71. My 5.3 has 180,000 mile on it. I tow and want low end, what kind of a cam should I go with? I know you hate those kinds of questions but thing is I been messing with F/I on the vettes more then I have been payign attention to Cam trends lately. And basically I want this motor to make some good power but I want more low end then topend, without sacrificing driveability.
Depending on a cam, I know a convertor is in store for me, but is there a link to what I can transfer and what i cannot whn it comes time to drop that motor in? In other words i understand I need e-fans right? What else will not work? I want to keep this at a budget basically. I will spend the money if I have to but I have less then 1000 in this motor already lol adn I am not wanting to go over 2000 yet. Does the intake work? DO i need to rig a new coolant setup? I knwo some of you knwo this help me out please.

transfer everything from your 5.3 like the intake, injectors, oil pan, pumps, belts etc. how much weight do you pull. that will help the cam experts get you going. ls6 heads are overkill if your not trying to build a racer IMO.

Thanks, well I am going with the LS6 heads because I am getting a screamin deal on them. With the short block I will have less then 1000 in this setup. I do not tow much more then 4000 lbs, my boat is 3300 dry. I want the block to basically pull about 425 at the crank. Thanks Tx
