Default LS1 in a S-10/Sonoma

im not sure if this is the right spot to post this but here it goes, i was wondering if a 2002 ls1 corvette engine will fit in a 03 sonoma, and if it would be smog legal, i have all the computers for the ls1 engine and everything it needs for the corvette to be legal, and i need to know if it would be smog legal in a sonoma also? and also would it fit in a sonoma, what would you have to do to get it to fit? thanks for any help.

yes, it has been done before. I have no idea about smog legality though. Probably will be ok unless you are in cali

I have seen one before, and it looks like it was made to be in there I am pretty sure someone makes a kit, but I am not sure where to find them.

if it was a stock motor, and you swapped over all of the emissions parts I don't see why it would't be smog legal

I believe that you can't go backwards in years. Your vehicle is an 03, you'll need an 03 or newer engine for s smog legal swap, I believe.

T&T Customs has done this several times. I have my 66 Nova there and I saw another Sonoma in the shop last week. This link will take you to the S10 project- http://www.ttcustomsinc.com/current_...chevy_s10.html
