And an FYI for those of you saying the LS6 swap is not worth it unless you spin past 6000rpm.... In any cammed truck the stock intake stops power rediculously @ around 5200rpm, an LS6 does not lose power below that and only gains more above that. All this is due to the prior stated plenum volume increase. I would not waste my time with an LS1 intake.
It was a must for me to ditch the stock intake, when I first got down the track with my old H/C set-up my truck fell flat on it's face 2/3 to 3/4 of the way down the 1320. My mph was only 94! when it should have been easily over 100
It was actually rather embarassing.
I went with the vic jr. for the purpose of my new set-up being spun to 7200rpm. And to all together avoid the leaning issue which is still affected with an LS6 intake and the FAST intakes.

1. the truck rail cross over tube sits a lot higher b/c the intake is taller than a car style.
2. if using a truck rail, you need 5/8" spacers between the rail and the intake. also the truck injectors are different from the cars but they can be modified to work.
3. you can also use the car fuel rails for a cleaner setup and if you want to upgrade to bigger car style injectors.
4. 99-03 trucks have a return style fuel system (2 lines on the intake)
04 on up have a returnless fuel system (1 line on the intake)

Is it possible for a mod to weed out some of these post? This thread is IMO the best intake swap thread just gettin to be so many pages. Are their some post we could weed out?
I hope bluecajun does a good write up with pics.

Did you guys use the factory truck coolant tubes? For some reason my LS1 manifold won't fit right with the tube in place. I fiddled with it for a bit and haven't had a chance to go back and mess with it some more but it sits up high on the passenger side.
