Default ls1 intake on 5.3L

Looks like I will probably getting a 5.3L rcsb or ec truck.

How do the LS1/6 intakes perform on these trucks and how is the fit? I know it will bolt up but do you have to custom anything.

I did a search but maybe I was being retarded I didn't find what I wanted to see.

I still haven't sold my car. Bunch of low ballers though.

They work better in the higher rpm ranges but you will loose torque. You will also have to deal with the coolant hose as the ls intakes are lower and I think its the throttle body that gets in the way of the water pump.

Don't waste the effort with a LS1 intake though. Go for the LS6

LS6 > truck > LS1
