Default LS1 Installed and Running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I got the call at about 8:30 this morning with the words of "get your *** out of bed its ready and running". That was a damn good wake up call-literally! Hell that call almost made this whole thing worth it! Everything is back to normal except I leave 30+feet single 20" tire burnouts at will! Traction is a problem! Who would have thought that! I have a stock stall so there is still a little more there but not much at all. The torque I picked up is ridiculous and I swear to you at about 5000+rpm it pulls harder than my truck ever did at anytime and its like it doesnt stop pulling! Can you tell Im happy! I will have it on the dyno next week and should have the Eaton Posi in at that time as well. I still have stock "headers" so there is still some left down low not to mention what Im not getting because of traction. Mid-up high is crazy! A stall is going to be great and I know can feel these 4.10's alot more! I will have pics of all the damage and the installl as well as dyno #'s soon!

Oh yeah I havent sprayed it for two reasons the main one being traction and the second one is Im scared! I cant afford another problem. $4100.00 for the cam job and now new motor. Not to mention the damn near $2500.00 n20 job! Lets just say my old lady has me by the ***** and not in a good way!

Im not going to comment. I had just put the 212/218 cam in like 3 weeks ago so I stuck with. At least for the next 4-5 months I just want it to be streetable! The cam that cam with the LS1 is a 224 reversed split something(I think its a Thunder Cam-I dont know the exacts on it but I will. It came out the LS1 that was in 02' Firehawk who know owns a 408 so its nasty! Ill put it in eventually. The LS1 reall ate the 212/218 up but thats what I figured and thats cool. You can still feel the 212/218 a little!

I bet its feeling great. All the 4.8/5.3 guys just cant comprehend how much better the truck feels until a 5.7/6.0 is installed. Night and day difference.
