Allen in SA, Texas. Well if your pal in LA offers free updates on tunes, go tune your truck now. It'll make a bigger difference than headers.

TqMgt... pulls timing, lower trans line pressure at the shifts, etc. It sucks. It's GMs bandaid fix for halfassed driveline parts. I have it FULLY deleted on my tune. So does 99silver5.3. Mine's been gone for like 6 months and the tranny's fine. I do have a full TransGo and billet apply servos in it too. I believe it causes more problems than it helps.
