if i go with the 6.0 a truck intake and a cam should i get the head milled to raise the compression
what is the compression on the stock 6.0? what year 6.0 is the best or are they all the same, are the heads different?

LQ4 6.0 was 9.4 CR, LQ9 I think is 10 to 1. Compression would be a good friend you want to have with you. I run LS2 heads on my LQ4 6.0 in my Avalanche, runs great. LS2 heads have 64cc chambers, 317 heads have 72cc chambers and they flow about the same.

get an 05-up if you can, they have the better LS2 con rods in them
