Are LQ9's really worth the extra $$$$?

Uh, just the 99-00 LQ4 has the cast iron heads pretty sure.

Yup.

And the heads on the LQ4 and LQ9 are both the same. Different pistons make the difference in compression.

So what were they putting in the Denali's in the early to mid 2000's? LQ4 or LQ9? GM advertised those engines as 325hp. If the LQ4 has aluminum heads and 325hp while the LQ9 is 345 I can't see that the LQ9 is worth the extra money.

Later had the same 71.06cc chamber alum heads, 317 castings.
