Default LQ9 swap question?

Hey I broke a valve spring and the valve dropped and blew up my motor this morning. I found a 03 caddy escalade 6.0 LQ9 motor low miles ready to drop in. I have a 03 chevy 1500 5.3 with a 4l60e. I need to get back on the road and this is the closest motor around. ( I have to drive 3.5 hours away and was going to do that tomorrow morning). Will this motor bolt up to my transmission and flex? I know there has to be someone that has done this before that could offer me some advice. Thanks

If it was in an escalade it should, they have 4l65 Trans. it should be about a direct replacement, minus tuning it. But fuel rails should be the same. Did your 03 have a dbc or dbw throttle body? The lq9 will have a dbw. If it comes with that

The motor is a direct replacement. Even if you have issues with TB, Intake setup, your intake, tb, fuel injectors, railes ETC(basically all the stuff that bolts to the intake) Can be put on the 6.0. The truck will run, and run safely even on your 5.3 tune. I would suggest getting a pre tuned PCM from a vender for a 6.0 in advance tho.

Its really no different then putting another 5.3 into the truck.

Yeah, Just use your intake and swap the longblock. It's a direct swap.
