Got a call from Rex today....has the motor all apart now. He's going to try and put a hone in that cylinder in the morning, so I should know tomorrow whether or not it will be an easy fix or if I'll have to do a new block or new pistons .040 over.

Chris,
I hope all you need is a hone in that cylinder, but some of those scrapes looked deep.
Good luck.

Yeah we'll have to wait a little while I guess. It's ok though, I think I'll stand a decent chance against you, even with the twins. I'm guessing that traction will not be your friend.

Got word from Rex a bit ago. Cylinders cleaned up fine up top, but not in the bottom. Looks like we're going to go another .010 over and do a set of 4.040 pistons. Now I'll have a 410 and be different than all you 408 guys He said like this there's a chance that the motor might consume oil, and I don't want to risk it.

Sorry to here that. I guess you will have little more hp and tq to get you closer to the lower 11s or high 10s. Now can tell everybody you have a 410 engein and they say what.

I was really hoping the block would clean with A lite hone but no such luck. Sorry you have to go through this. I'll get the pistons ordered ASAP Mr. Minute Man LOL.
