long tubes and no tune?

safe to drive? not sure how these motors react to being catless. ive been told that there is a possibility that my A/F ratio could be unsafe. honestly i have no idea, so i figured id throw it out there and make sure its safe to drive regularly til i get a tune as soon as im ready with the new cam. thanks

I see you live in CA. what about CARB issues? If you don't have those problems then riding without a tune should be no problem. I did it for 3-4 months traveling about 80 miles a day. The motor will throw a code if the rear O2 sensors aren't tuned out though and you would benifit so much from a tune. I recommend you get one just for those 2 reasons but if you can't then you should be safe on the stock tune judging by the mods you have now.

I have been driving around with lt's and no cats for almost 2 years, the motor seems to be fine. All I have is a hyperjunk, from the looks and the sniffer it looks like it is running rich, mabye just do to not having the cats, but you should be fine...

k cool, thanks.
loback is a custom muffler built in shop at RPM muffler in hayward, ca. its about a 4" diameter tube with a corkscrew type design run the whole length of the muffler and about a 1" diameter pipe through the center of the corkscrew. noise levels are created by the length of the muffler. i dont remember the smallest he makes i think its around 6", but it the longest is 30 or 36". i got the 16" and its pretty loud, but sounds awesome
