Default long tube headers

how much should it cost for someone to install my long tubes including welding them in? when i get these headers, should i keep my cats? run true duals? or will i still pick up just as much power with my current 3 inch dual exhaust.

man general wrenchs and sockets will get the job done and a sawzall to cut the old pipe off far enough back to get the LT's in there

as long as you have about 4-6 hours to do it on a weekend you can save your self about $150-200

U don't even need a sawzall to get your stock y-pipe out, just take off all the bolts on the flanges and drop the transmission crossmember, just have a jack under the tranny just to be safe, as far as cats, I wouldn't run em, sounds better without them but if u want to pass inspection then get a y-pipe made with cats on it, and also, a y-pipe exhaust system is plenty, true duals is overkill unless your pushin about 450hp

I paid $300 to have mine installed (headers and y-pipe). Then, like a dumbass, I was admiring the killer sound instead of watching where I was going and backed into the shop's water meter...busted the crap out if it and that cost me 6 bills!!!

I put mine on last night for free, by myself. I took about 6 or 7 hours. I recommend having some help though. I didnt drop the crossmember I just cut a little off the end of the y pipe so i could manuver it in there. Save the money and do it yourself.

now, how much power is gained by long tubes? specify hp to the wheel or flywheel. Also, is it a huge difference?
