Default LLP's and 4x4 review

well ive had these installed for a few weeks now and have spent a fair amount of time in 4wd and im not pleased.I started hearing the front drivshaft rubbing the ypipe. So today i got to lookin at everything and sure enough it was rubbing.also the bolts on the front diff for the ujoint have dent/scraped the header and it now has a nice little scar on it.Ill take pics in the morning before and after i "make" room for everything.
Overall im pleased with the performance of the headers but the 4wd thing is making me mad

Wow, that sucks man. It seems these headers are having quite a few problems. I guess I need to keep on recommending Pacesetter's for cheap-ish long tubes.

There aren't any changes that I'm aware of, guys with 06-07 classics have been using parts that are listed to 05 without any issues as far as I know...but I'm not 100% sure so anything's possible. Either something is different, or you just got a bum set of headers. There have been a few threads where guys installed their LPP's on 4x4's without issue....although I can't remember what year truck(s) they were (basically I'm of no help here )

That sucks to hear. I've been thinking of buying some of these to replace the OBX ones I have that didn't fit past the front driveshaft without serious modification. It won't do me any good if these don't fit either. I can't understand why the header people have so much trouble making headers to fit on a 4x4. Can each truck really be that different with respects to where the alignment of the front driveshaft is compared to how the engine sits in the compartment?

Maybe they need to use my truck as a mock-up vehicle cause as bad as the headers I have now fit, if they can get headers past my front driveshaft they should fit past anyone's. It's not like there isn't plenty of room they just need to be bent right.

I found Mighty Whitey's thread on his 4x4 install, but he's an 02, so maybe there is a difference? His seem to fit great, his only problem is 2 broken bolts in the head, which isn't LPP's fault... https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=437962
