Which cam is better for a FI 6.0-

The GT-2 205/212 .540/.540 116.5 CL

or

The GT2-3 207/220 .571/.578 w/ 1.7 rocker 118.5 CL?

They are both good for FI. The second cam would be a little better if you are sticking with the stock exhaust mainfolds.

when you say FI, I assume you mean supercharged. The gt2-3 has been proven by quite a few guys on here to be an excellent cam with a Magnacharger.

You would not want those types of cams if to are going turbo. You would want like a 224/222 .5xx .5xx

The GT2-3 was actually designed for strict emmission states. Mainly California. I would recommend a custom ground cam from Comp Cams.
Do you have a custom tuner? If so, he can set you up with a cam that you can get great power from and be pretty specific for your application.
I recommend this tuner if you do not already have one.
www.nelsonperformance.com Allen Nelson can set you up with a great cam profile along with one of his tunes for your specific mods.

That 205/212 is an EXCELLENT cam for someone with a 5.3L who wants to keep the stock torque converter in their vehicle. I put an almost identically spec'd cam from Cam Motion into my Avalanche and it was perfect with the Radix (-16 degrees overlap). No need to pay $400 to Comp if you don't want to.

...but would the 207/220 be even better for someone with a mild converter? I'm talking about me. I'm considering the GT2-3 myself.

I'm interested in the GT2-3 kit with the LS-6 springs. LPE offers free shipping on that at $399.

If your thinking about a group buy and saving a few $, let me know.

Yes, you would be better able to take advantage of the power in the 207/220 in a 5.3L if you have a converter. Something like a 2400-2600 RPM stall speed would be ideal.
