Wonder if I can get that local or do I have to get it from Magnuson? It mounts to their bracket so I don't know if a regular GM one would mount onto it??

My install reused the factory one. Think you might have had too small of a belt on there?

Thats what you get for giving me a hard time on my ebay auction

Yeah you can get the tensioner from O'Riellys if ya'll have one down there. May be too small a belt for it like MJ said.

I had a 111.5 on there with a 3.2 pulley. But the old belt was way too long and the tensioner was bouncing back and forth alot. Maybe that weakened it. Maybe I need to go to a 112" belt. Do you know for sure Oreillys has them? I called Advance and they only carry Demco and would have to match it.

Call em up. I could ahve sworn when I went back there behind the counter to look for a rear brake line they had belt tensioners back there.

They gave me part #38158 which is a belt tensioner but isn't the right one. Terry at Magnuson told me it was a Gates brand but didn't know the part number. I am still looking...

Found it at Advanced. Had a bigger smooth pulley on it but I swapped them. Changed the A/C belt while I was down there. All back together and running. What a PITA.

So when are you getting a real tune?

I'm curious what that little piggy will run now.
