Tried to put the inline pump on today. Guess what...it doesnt work with a flex fuel truck. Who would have guessed The hook ups for the fuel filter are different. My filter had a nut on one end and a fuel nipple on the other. I used nut and nipple in one sentence These dont jive with the inline pump connections. See the pic. The flashlight represents the fuel from the tank. That connection is fine. I can even plug the pump into the filter on the other end but whrere the fuel comes out of the inline pump will not connect to the line on the truck leading to the fuel rails.

Blown Chevy, please show this to Terry. He is supposed to be working this for me.

Can I hook it up like this? Not anything like the instructions show but might work. I would have to put the inline above or beside the filter to get everything to line up. Hmmmm. Gravity gonna be an issue?

Again, the flashlight is the hard line from the tank into the filter

Stock mufflers can have up to 18 psi of backpressure. A well-designed performance exhaust typically has about 2 to 6 psi of backpressure and an unmuffled straight pipe usually has 1 to 3 psi of backpressure.

Exhaust pipe, mufflers, bends, all add/create some degree of backpressure. A straight-through exhaust is ideal for sure, that costs something, and although ideal, is not free in terms of backpressure.

A good, properly sized, perforated-core, straight-through muffler will add about 1 to 2 psi of backpressure to your exhaust system.
Note: Oxidzr is really the resident expert here.

I'm not trying to start a debate here, just answering your question on backpressure.

Sorry guys. Been crazy busy. I got the inline pump in and running. Thanks to BlownChevy and Terry at Magnuson. The tune has been killing me. I just got it about 90% worked out and I mean Just. My feet are still cold from coming in after loading it up. I used a Predator to download the file from my tuner to the truck via email. Getting the Predator unlocked and returned was like a ****** act of congress. I wrote in the package that I needed it ASAP and to charge me overnight shipping when it was done. After a week of them doing whatever with it, it was done. I call up to get the tracking # and they say "Oh, it's sitting right here all packaged up but UPS just left. I guess it will go out tomorrow" If I had a gun.....

So I finally get it yesterday. Download the tune that's been dying in reverse and surging etc... and send it off. The tuner fixes a few things and sends it back. I load it. Doesn't die anymore but, I noticed is if I put it in Drive and let off the brake it will begin to roll a little as expected. If I just sit there and let it roll and apply no throttle, after about 5 or 6 seconds it jumped up to 1000rpms and slowly builds to about 1250-1300 and just cruises along. I guess this is the "Cruise control Effect" I have heard about. Any idea why this happens? I end up going about 9-10mph at 1200-1300rpms. The idle is set at 800 I think so no more cam lope but it doesn't die so its a trade off I'm willing to make right now. My long term fuel trims are still off by 4 full points. One is -8.59 the other is -4.xx, sometimes they are -10 and -12 so I think I'm still running pretty rich. My spark was 20* with 0 knock retard at about 75% throttle. Haven't gone wind open yet.
So far this setup is a TQ monster compared to the 5.3. I dont know that's its faster but it will lay you back in your seat more firmly. BigKid got a quick ride last week maybe he can compare it to some of the other guys trucks. I've never ridden and a regular pickup with serious mods.
So, bottom line. She runs. Pretty strong but I'm sure it will get better when I find a dyno tuner or when I buy software and a laptop. The 2.75" pulley is on my shelf standing by. Don't foresee myself getting to the track anytime soon either. Update complete. I will try and get a vid one day. It has been raining here....and thanks to everyone who has been helping me. The list is too long to remember. This site rocks

Yipeee! More problem!

I nailed it on the road to my house. Then lost power steering. Figured I threw the belt. Well, I did. Broke the tensioner pulley as well. Good times....
