Default KR and Predator

I noticed tonight that Predator shows, while cruise set on 70, Knock Ret. is zero then jumps to 8 falls back to zero stays there for about 3/4 mile and repeats the process. Does anybody know what in tarnation is going on here?

Is this cyclical or random? Does it always go 8*KR, fade to 0, then 8*KR over and over again? Is the time between events the same? If so, how long?

If its random it could be road debris, bad gas, or other random types of knock. If its very repeatable over time and load, it might be a problem.

It seemed to do it at about the same time interval as I was going down the road with about the same time between changes
but I am going to check it again today and see what happens.
