Question Kenne Bell Question

Alright, I'm reading up on my suprecharger installs to decide which one to buy. I noticed with the Magnacharger, and the Whipple you have to install new larger injectors, which would make sensa. On every Kenne Bell install I've read about, there's no injector replacement. How do they do that, and make the boost like the other blowers. I'm up on all the threads about roots versus screw blowers, so let's not bother with that. Thanks.

Im not sure exactly but if there is no replacement injectors than additional fuel will be supplied through an FMU or aux injectors like tha whipple it is based on.

The whipple uses two aux. injectors that push fuel through the intake manifold... The Kenne Bell's setup is the same as the Radix... 8 brand new 42lb injectors (I think thats the size) The larger injector replacements on the whipple are done seperately by people. The 8 larger injectors do not come in the whipple kit.

Cool

Ok....so the Kenne Bell setup DOES have larger injectors! That sounds more like it! All the installs I've read about, no one say anything about replacing the injectors. I figured they had to get extra fuel in there SOME way! Man...I'm tempted to with the Kenne Bell setup, but everything I hear about their customer service is BAD, BAD, BAD! I just don't feel comfortable with the Whipple piggy back setup. The Magnacharger is a real good setup, but I've been around Alcohol Dragster racing a long time, and I've seen the benefits of the screw blower! Thanks

You're right, The KB are 42# injectors. Do not go for the 2 aux injectors. Upgrade to 42# if you using a whipple setup. The KB is alright if you can get custom tuning.

Definately need a custom tune w/ a KB setup...Superchargedchevy04 went from a 15.0 to a14.5 with a tune alone...

How was your experience with KB's customer srevice? I've been lead to believe that's the stumbling block.

It was actually OK. They were good at programming PCM's and if you can take the vehicle to them for the tuning even better. Unfortunately I live in Toronto so that was not possible. Looking back I still would have bought the KB but do the tuning locally because every vehicle has some variation that requires a certain amount of custom tuning to optimize especially using a dyno. The customer service line is always busy and that was frustrating.
