ME !!!....well, only if someone can loan me the $4K it costs to buy it that is

I have looked at buying a supercharger and I am REALLY tossed up between the RADIX and the Kenne Bell, both have thier good and bad points....the RADIX makes power down low (where a truck can use it) but I already have enough low-end to obliterate the tires at will, the Kenne Bell makes power further up the band and has a higher power potential assuming there is adequate fuel delivery (sorry guys, a twin screw is inherently more efficient than a roots blower), the RADIX is an install-and-forget blower whereas the Kenne bell IS going to require tuning to get the max power out of it (but again the max power potential IS higher). the main reason I am tossed up is that I am not sure if I want to spend $1000 more for the RADIX just to gain ease of installation and tuning

I just know I am going to get flamed for this response

No Flaming!!!

IF the Kenne Bell was intercooled MAYBE it would be a runner againt a Radix powered truck. POINT IN FACT: Take a Radix powered truck and run it up againt a Kenne Bell Powered truck and the RADIX will out run it HANDS DOWN.

No putting down the Kenne Bell, Just stating the facts!

Yelo, come on by and drive my truck! The secret is in the intercooler!

The overall design of the Radix kit alone is worth the additional $1000.00. I have not seen one person that has posted about the kenne bell, that should speak for itself.

The Kenny Bell is VERY similar to the Whipple. However it does not use the additional injectors like the Whipple. Many of the parts on the two kits are interchangeable. I hear Kenny Bell does not have the customer support that Whipple or Magnacharger have to offer. I would like to get my hands on a Kenny and a Whipple for a side by side comparison.

My Whipple kit runs pretty damn hard! Dyno day on Nov. 15th and 16th for me. I don't have any numbers for boost w/o the intercooler--this will be my first dyno ever. It will be a baseline for the new '02 LS6 cam, '02 LS6 heads, LSX intake manifold, and 12lbs intercooled twin screw boost. I will video it and try to figure out how to put it on the forum for you guys too.

It pulls like a mother! I have been really lazy on getting temperature readings for you guys, and I think I missed my chance. It is cold out now 78ish* and without boosting up, little temp. difference will be noticed. Either way though I will get temp readings as I am very curious too. But putting the hand on intake vs. outlet air tubes test is amazing even in colder weather. I would love to boost up to 12psi right now, but my tranny will pop for sure then. I am glad it has lasted me this long (I guess having no traction helps the tranny out though)

If anyone does this project, or one like it, and has installed a low lsa cam too I have much tuning advice to aid you with. Tuning this project with a 112lsa cam is a biznatch! Airflow is greatly altered with an intercooler this size. I have done very well though--startup is the sole headache now (idle hunt again). That problem should go away with the '02 LS6 cam's lsa of 117.5

PS. Nice dyno numbers GMC SKI!!! That motor rocks!
