Default Just a thought for u guys with the 5.3L trucks

My friend and I did swap the intake manifold for a 5.3 truck on a 01 LS1(It has the LS6 intake manifold). The LS1 had LT headers, Intake, full exhaust, and a TB. Anyways around his area there is no dyno or tracks.. so we had to do some testing with the Tazzo which is pretty accurate(was calibrated on a track). We did lost around 4-5mph in the trapspeed. So i was thinking if u guys had a cam in the 5.3 and with the LS6 intake manifold u will gain at least 30HP since we lost around 40HP based on the trapspeed readings just by swapping to 5.3 intake manifold. Just a thought that u can try guys espeically the guys with the cams. U will let ur motor breathe way better.

I'd be surprised if a truck manifold would even fit under the hood of a Camaro. If you really did put the truck manifold on a Camaro?

Hmmm. Too bad the LS6 intake won't bolt right on to the trucks. The throttle body sits too low and gets into the way of the trucks water pump, belt and idler pulley.

We did drive it without the hood though LOL. We just covered the hood area with a hard plastic cover so we wont hurt the aerodynamics on the car.

I don't run a truck intake anyway. My intercooled Magnacharger came with a aluminum intake manifold.
