Just a few questions

Powertrax (AKA Lockright) is better for light duty off road rigs IMO. In fact, they work quite well in that application. I've run a few in my Jeeps over the last 10 years.
The good thing about a lock right is that it will fit in your factory open carrier with no special tools required. You might could go that route as a temporary fix, but they do wear out. The on road handling sucks for a street truck because it's a true locker, unlike an Eaton LSD.
Oh, and they are partially rebuildable (shear pins, springs, etc), depending on what you break in it.
In other words I agree with everyone above. My street trim weight is around 4400 lbs and race weight of 4260.

So get an eaton, how much harder are they to install and what's the prices on them??? Any model numbers for summit or jegs or does someone know of another website that offers them cheaper?? Any reviews on Auburn lockers???? What about the factory G80, is anything really wrong w/it? Anybody having problems w/their's? All i'm wanting to do is spin some posi's, get a lil' added traction. I'm not pushing no mega HP right now so i just need something to make tread wear EQUAL! i hate buying 1 tire at a time, and when i go to the track w/my stock wheels on back for the burnout i look like an idiot b/c i'm only spinning one! i hate this ****! well anyhow, thanx in advance.

I have a detroit truetrack. I will never own another clutched posi again. Very smooth. I am very impressed with it. The lock right, powertrax are a bear to drive especially on the wet. They get anoying, very violent at times when the unlock and lock back around turns. They may not unlock in the wet and can loose it in a curve if your not careful. A Detroit Locker works better than them. The eaton is a nice choice as well.
