Default Installing Headers

I live just north of Houston. I bought the Pacesetter LT's but NOT the ORY. I need somebody that can install them and tie them into exhaust. Looking for good price. I have been to all the exhaust shops in Conroe and they are to pricey. I am willing to help install them but I don't have that much engine work experience.

so why didn't you get the off road y pipe? with it you would have a simple bolt on installation, it's probably going to cost you more to get a custom y pipe made, take more time and be of less precision and quality...

I paid $400 to have my pace setters installed and custom piping from the collectors to the corsa system, with factory mounting points. I also had two cats welded in so it wasnt exactly easy. I would expect $350-$500 depending on who you want to do it.

Mainly why I didn't buy the ORY is because I wanted to keep the cats so it would be legal when inspected.

You wont be able to keep the stock cats anyways...you will HAVE to buy new cats as well...The stock piping under there is like 2.25 or 2.1 or something and your pace setter collectors are 3"...you dont want to go from 3" down to 2.25"...maybe 2.5" at in the worst case. I went with 2.5" because thats what was the dia of the corsa pipes I connected to. Also, my cats wouldnt fit because of their size and shape. Either get the ORY or buy new cats and pay someone to weld them in. The bends aren't super complicated, but the 3 month newbie at midas wont be able to do it either...

I have the same headers. I put them on my self it's not that hard all you need is a 10mm wrench. to hook them up to the pipes I went to Deer Park Muffler they do excellent work for cheap, bring cash and there’s no tax. I'm in Laporte so it’s not that far a drive for me but it would still be worth it for you. If you don't have Duals yet now would be the best time to get it. There number is 281-479-7655 they will give you a good price
