***Did some searching on the GM EPC this morning. There are slight differences in NNBS & TBSS... slightly. I have a NNBS, not TBSS. Dirty side PCV fittings are different between the two, and MAP sensors are different. If you are going to install a NNBS/TBSS intake, check these before install and make sure you have the correct fittings/hoses.

Note the difference in #716 & #714 in the parts diagrams.

NNBS intakes use a different MAP (12644228) and you will have to epoxy the old sensor in like Joe has pictured in the first post. TBSS intake MAP is the same as NBS (12614973), and will use the same connector. If you are putting a NNBS intake on a NBS, you will need P/N 12597774 (716 in NNBS picture) PCV tube. TBSS intake will have a fitting in the intake that the hose will just slide over.

I have since changed the connector on my intake, the sensor glued on was bugging the crap outta me....even though it was hidden under the NNBS intake cover.

I was thinking about doing the same, but I'm almost positive the two sensors read pressure differently. I don't want to splice the connector and run into issues.

Yeah, I guess I could do that. It would be the correct way, lol.

No, but what I meant was do the 2 different sensors read pressure differently???

Joe, did you ever change intake tubes??

I only ask because I am wondering what to do about passenger side PCV. My aftermarket intake tube does not have a provision for PCV.

Nope, still using a NNBS intake box and tube. Truck made 349rwhp with the current setup so I see no reason to "upgrade" to a hot air intake.

No problems after switching to the correct map sensor for the intake.

My TBSS manifold has a female connection spot for a vacuum barb; I need said barb for my second vacuum port for PCV (using top port for brake booster). Where can I get this? Dealer only?

EDIT: My non-car guy brother just fixed--duh! He looks at the stock manifold that has some sort of plug, "Can't you use that one? It looks just the same." Well, it was a plug not a connector but sure enough it perfectly plugs the rear source and I simply cut off the barb nearer to the front open that vacuum source, which is much closer and convenient for the PCV anyway. Prob solved.
