Default Injector Question

Does anyone know if the harness side plug for the fuel injectors is the same on the trucks as it is on the cars? Just trying to figure out when I get ready to swap intakes if I'll need to get the harness side connectors from a car and replace them on the truck's harness. TIA.

Not the same plug. You will need the car connectors to use car injectors.

Thanks. Guess GM couldn't make the swap that easy huh? BTW, what years should I look for that use a return style fuel system so I can still use the factory rails?

Heck no that wouldn't make any sense...

Just curious, what intake and injectors are you going to be using?

I think the stock truck injectors and fuel rails may still work with the car intakes, but I'm not sure.

Planning to run the car intake (ls1 to keep the EGR hookup) and car injectors. The truck rail and injectors would work but it's alot higher on the manifold though.

Ya I thought about the height about the time I got done hitting the submit button.

You might do a little searching around on here. I think most people say that the ls1 intake on a truck is a waste of time (very little to no benefit). The ls6 intake has shown to be a better option for performance. Hopefully someone else with more experience in the matter will jump in here.

Here is some interesting data..https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...ght=ls6+intake
