Injector Options
#1
I am about to drop an LS1 in my Tahoe with the truck intake and a Whipple S/C. Do I need to modify the fuel rail to intall larger injectors? Are 8.1 injectors my only option if I don't want to modify the fuel rails?

you only need to modify the injectors if you are using f-bod injectors. there are other injectors you can buy specificly for our trucks but they are expensive. so that is why some go with the f-bod injectors because of cost. 8.1's are not that much bigger but we need to know what you want to do to tell you what injectors to get.

My Whipple always seemed to run lean so before I put it back on I wanted to make sure I have ample fuel supply. I don't have any log data because I recently purchased LS1edit and EFIlive. But when I reinstall my Whipple I wanted to use larger injectors and LS1edit to work out the fuel issues and drop their auxillary injectors.
I haven't calculated what HP I will see with my new setup, but think that the stock truck injectors should get me going until the Whipple goes back on.
I am running a 216/220 525/532 LSA 114 in an LS1,LS1edit, EFIlive, TOG headers, CAI, B&B Catback, Truck Intake and accessories.
Also, any thoughts on what kind of numbers this combo should make?

http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm<< sells an injector that bolts/plugs right in that is bigger than the 8.1 injector. it is rated at 41lb/hr at 58psi or about 36lb/hr at 43.5psi. those injectors should be good to ~500fwhp depending on how hard you push them and what BSFC you use.
