I was looking at the TSP website and was looking at their head and cam packages. Are they worth it or should I get my stuff from somewhere else? My plan is to swap the 3.23s for 4.11s (I have 24 inch wheels so I need it) and maybe a head and cam because most of the Magna-Chargers I find are out of my price range right now. My truck is a 05 5.3 CC now the only mods are no cats Magnafolw exhaust the free mods and a Nelson tune. Thanks for the help...I would love a Maggie but right now money doesn't say a Maggie is right for my truck.

 

i think your should wait and save for the maggie but....

personally if you are going to get heads and cam, get the heads from richard @WCCH, he has a set designed specifically for the 4.8/5.3 from edlebrock and CNCported by him and are IMO the ONLY heads for the 4.8/5.3. you could also get a custom spec'd COMP cam for your app from him or get any other cam anywhere, id think a max of a 224/224 on a 112 cam

 

I have done some thinking and I think I am going to save my money and just get the Magnacharger. I think a Maggie and a cam with headers with a good tune should be the way to go. I hope to find a sweet deal on one used because I refuse to spend 5k for one.
