Why don't you try loading in a bone stock LQ9 tune, just for ***** and giggles. It probably won't even be close, but it'd be worth a shot.
Damn Scott...that doesn't sound safe at all driving around at WOT with the hood not fully latched down. Wind force could easily rip off a zip tie IMO.

I couldn't load an LQ9 tune and had to use LQ4 instead because there was never an LQ9 used with a cable TB.

The hood was pushed down to the first latch, the one that it pops up to when you pull the lever, so it wasn't just hanging loose. I'm sure it would be fine even without a zip tie, but I did it anyways.

And why can't you take an LQ4 tune and copy in all the LQ9 data? That's if its really all that different. My point is just trying a different tune, something completely stock.

Speed Density is super easy especially if you upgraded to a 02 OS 12212156 just use COS3 and use 0202003 and get to work. prolly pick up a MPG or 2.

I just read the thread, and my head hurts... The MAF I sent you was in good shape as of when I took it off and went to a SD tune. I descreened it before I knew any better LOL...

bottom line, get a wideband, get a catchcan, I got my nice aluminum Moroso can for about $80 from Summit. Get a cam that goes with the heads you have, and get a tune... not a guess.... if you cant tune it. I'm sure Justin could make you up a good baseline to start with.

I believe he already did, from what I have read. I could be wrong though.
