there has been talk of it, but no one has done it. I think it would be too much work.

Most of us are using boost to make power and big cubes are not always the way to go.

The effort involved probably wouldn't be worth it. There are a lot of guys sticking with smaller cubes to make big power with FI. I'm bucking the trend in trucks and sticking with a 370ci motor instead of the usual 408ci.

A boosted small block will take out a cam/head big block any day of the week.

I think that the lack of after market support doesn't help either. If people where getting some stupid high dyno # you would see allot more swaps being done.

That and it's HEAVY! All that weight up front would kill us truck guys, literally probably.

OK ... I'm gonna be the guinea pig...after the outlaw car, this'll be a fun deal...except, i'll supercharge it...wonder if GM will still honor my warranty

as far as the weight, dont worry, be happy...i can move some stuff...a BBC is aprox 100lbs heavier than a SBC...a batt is 50-60lbs, move that...move the fuel tank further back & towards the center a few inches...fiberglass hood...upgrade the driveline, including 4.link/coilover...add WHEELIEBARS(i got a set layin around I think).....i mean if you cats wanna go fast & make power, then take your own advice...no substitute for cubes...i might just take the bed off and do the chassis/rearend deal this week...rhino line the bed after re-installation...move the fuel tank to the bed and delete it from under the chassis all together...put a hard tonneau like the one on an Escalade...give me 6 months...watch for an 04 Regency RST BBC w Magnacharger.
